Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 09:41PM As I mentioned in my previous post, I am a hefty woman. Now that my thyroid disorder has been diagnosed and treated, I'm having some success losing weight. But, the truth is, I could use help in the form of diet pills. You know, just a little something to slow down my desire to eat entire arms off people I like.
So, when in need, and with the invention of this great thing called Internet, it is as easy as ever to find places where you can get diet pill reviews. What I would suggest would be to start with their page and then any words you don't understand or you don't know what the normal amounts are for other pills, start a research to help with terminology. But, then always go back to your old faithful so you can get the best reviews.

Friday, March 21, 2008 at 05:31PM I figure since I'm always telling you about the vacations I want to take, I should tell you about the one I took....or 2. My best friend and I were 22, single, in good bikini wearing shape and having the time of our lives. We had never partied together before then because she always had a boyfriend. Anyway, we went on a ten day excursion to various places and one of the places we were able to visit was Key West. We didn't get to do the Key West Snorkeling activities but it wasn't for lack of trying. We were hitting the beach day after day, walking in the sand, taking pictures and loving life. It was about as awesome as it could get. We didn't snorkel simply because I'm a geek and scared. Plus something about losing my breath scares me. I know, I know, you wouldn't lose your breath if you did it properly, but that's the key, I didn't know how and didn't really want to take any chances learning. My best friend, she would have been in heaven if we had tried it, but I'm a sissy and spoiled it for her.
Then, there was the famous trip to New Orleans. We went for the LSU/Bama football game that year. I had never been and it really was everything we thought it would be. Again, this same friend was with me, along with some other girls and there was absolutely nothing that could ever compare to these homely little rural girls walking down Bourbon Street, simply in awe of all the things that could be seen by just walking down the sidewalk. Sure, we got brave and entered a few, but the highlight of the night was finding an old beau. We had spent several hours in a club and were making the walk back to our hotel. The walk was fairly short, but when my lost love and kept ducking into every corner and crevice for some alone time, folks were drawing weary. The thing about it was, no one seemed to notice except those were delaying. Hundreds of people passed us as we made out in the corners. It was fun and when the night was done, no one had suffered any harm.
So, there, see at least you know I'm serious about my vacations, I like to have a good time, no questions asked...as long as it doesn't involve snorkeling.

Friday, March 21, 2008 at 05:23PM I've never been a brand name buyer. I like what I like and I like reasonable prices even better. So, I pick out what I like that's within my price range and that's what I get. I did buy a watch in the Bahamas once that I really liked. I think it was stolen later in my undercover days. Then, I have a Mickey Mouse watch that I really love but it is a collectors item now and I have never seen another one. You can bet it is locked away. No thief getting that one. So, when I saw a Seiko Watch, I started digging, looking for one that fit all my criteria. And, people, here we have it
Seiko SXDA24 Ladies Two Tone Le Grand Sport Mother of Pearl with Diamonds.
Le Grand Sport Collection. 28 Genuine diamonds on bezel and hour markers. Precise Quartz movement. Cabochon crown. Stainless steel case and bracelet. Date. Mother of Pearl dial with black inner bezel and gold tone hands and hour markers. Water resistant to 50m. Scratch resistant sapphire crystal. Hidden Push-button deployment clasp. Case measures 26mm diameter by 7mm thick. 3 years original manufacturer warranty.
That's a gorgeous watch, it is reasonable and well, it is gorgeous, right? You should go check out the 20,000 plus watches in stock. Bluedial.com is a leading distributor and you can seriously get it all right there. Their watches are genuine and authentic. Brands like Seiko, Citizen, Movado, ESQ, Bulova and many more can only mean one thing...you can't go wrong here. You can get your watch sized to fit your arm and you can even get it in two days. yep, you heard me right, 2 days! Go, go, go now, see what I'm talking about.

If you receive gifts and review them, that's one thing, but when you do the review and then go seeking a product, that speaks volumes. And, that's what I did with Vistaprint.com. I wrote a review months and months ago. Then, I was in need of office products like business cards, address stamps, etc. And, without hesitating I went to the places that I had visited before to see what was available and where I could get the best deal. The best part of this one is that after I ordered, they continued to send me coupon codes for more stuff. And, sure, some of it I didn't really need, but most of the coupons related to the stuff I had already purchased, accessories to the stuff I had already purchased or shipping which applies on anything. It is simple and easy to get on their site and find what you want. Customizing is just as easy and then you are on your way.
Here's the hard part, the hard part is eliminating the things that you don't need out of your cart. That's how I shop. If I see it and like it, I put it in my cart. Then, when I'm done, I pick out the stuff that I want the most. And, of course, when you have coupons to use, that makes it that much easier. And, right now, I've got a coupon for you. you can go tot he site and order a stamp and use the coupon code "Stamp25" at checkout and you will receive 25% off of your stamp order. Come on, what's better than coupons when you re-order? A coupon on your initial order. Of course, it doesn't have to be your initial order but if you are new, definitely go check it out, go armed with your 25% off coupon and be ready to start eliminating some of the things in your cart because, you know, you can't have everything you want, now can you?

Sunday, March 16, 2008 at 06:59PM I went to college. Really, I did. I didn't go to college to learn to write though, can you tell? One of the things I wish I had done in college was take more classes and learn more skills in writing. If that's not your thing, I totally understand. When I was in college I did have an opportunity to go out and see alot of schools. You see, my degree is in education and one would think after some of the schools I visited, I would have figured out that I totally was not cut out for that. That brings me to a place where you can actually spend some time learning more about your career choice. You see, Kettering University has programs like their engineering co-op programs where they allow freshman students to go into companies and then rotate between school and co-op jobs alternating every 3 months. This way, what they get is practical experience.
See, what I didn't get was practical experience. Sure, I did student teaching...after I had finished all my other classes. It was more like an ending than a beginning for me. I knew prior to doing my student teaching that I wasn't going to like it, my student teaching merely confirmed that. But, as it was, I had already completed some 170 hours and I was getting my degree and I wasn't turning back.
US News and World Report has ranked Kettering University as the number one University in the nation for Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering. So, no matter what your desired degree, whether it is industrial engineering, or some other facet, you definitely need to do your research.

Sunday, March 16, 2008 at 06:39PM I've never tasted an oyster. I've seen them in a lot of places..I mean, restaurants you know and well, I've seen them on television when people on Survivor actually catch and eat them, but taste on, nope, not me. Of course, those folks on Survivor are so dang hungry, it doesn't matter what kind of food they can find, they eat it. And, sometimes I'm thinking they might be eating other stuff too. So, if you, like those Survivor folks, like oysters, then you've probably tried Gulf oysters at least once.
Of course, there is a liability when eating those slimy little suckers. There is that awful stuff known as vibrio vulnificus. Yea, say that about 10 times in a row and see if you don't need someone to tape your mouth shut. Naturally if you already have a compromised system, you should avoid raw oysters all together. But, the most important thing is to be informed, be cautious and be smart.
Now, on another thought...what about pearls. I've had a few rings that had pearls in them but never anything really awesome. I mean, I don't love them or anything. But, if oysters came with say....diamonds
in them...or even coca-cola,
I'd be all set. The most obvious thing that oysters could house and make me happy would be moo-la...yea money, lots and lots of lots of it...not one dollar bills either...let's at least get a ten or twenty out of each one.

Sunday, March 16, 2008 at 09:53AM Ok, so let me tell you a secret. I've never been a big fan of video games. My husband however, loves them. I mean, that man could sit for hours and play these things. I guess I've just never been exposed to them very often and that's why my interest lags. I've been friends with people who could stay in arcades for hours at a time, but not me. That was freakin' boring to me. But, and you knew there was a but, right? but, the folks who have a Wii are causing my interest to peak. So, when I saw this Click Here for a Chance to Win a Nintendo® Wii™!, I was drawn in.
See, you can simply use your email address with a little personal information and register to win a Wii. I am not kidding. The winner gets a Nintendo Wii Console, Wii Stand, 5 Sports games (boxing, baseball, tennis, golf and bowling), a remote controller, a nunchuk controller, a sensor bar, a Wii AC adapter and a Wii AV Cable. And, don't make me tell you how much fun I think it would be to play baseball and bowling with my kids. And, boxing with my husband, oh yea baby, I'm gonna rock his world.
When you register, you also get the chance to bid on a lifetime subscription to Charter High-Speed Internet. If you qualify for Charter Internet based on your zip code, you need to get on it and go register. If you are interested in this auction and Sweepstakes rules, go here.
Like I mentioned above, I've never been a big video gamer but I love sports and played a lot when I was younger. I can't wait to kick my husband and kids' booty.

Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at 03:10PM Commercials come in all shapes and sizes. Pretty simple, don't you think? Just come up with a slogan that no ones has ever used before, or exactly like one used before but with an added twist. Ok, I know you all are looking at me with a furrowed brow full of confusion about now but I can explain, really I can.
See, I'm sure that my experience with naked naturals would have made a great commercial. I received my samples in the mail just a few days shy of having surgery on my hand. My husband encouraged me use it right away (obviously he was missing something with the whole name naked and everything). In this situation, naked means clean and pure, not hot and sexy like he was thinking. This natural shampoo comes free and clear of all the additives you usually find but full of the key ingredient Keravis which is a plant protein that you can only find when you are naked, I mean using naked naturals. See, my husband's thoughts are wearing off on me. This protein has been quite the show off in clinical trials, proving that you hair can be up to 7 times stronger using the shampoo and 3 times stronger with use of the conditioner.
Now, where was I when I started this commercial story? Oh, I know, I was explaining how lucky I am that I got mine right before my thumb surgery. See, I intentionally saved my samples until I was home and in need of a good hair washing. And, since I couldn't actually do it, I could simply sit and demand more massaging, more washing, ahhhhh more good smelling nakedness. This was definitely not the naked my husband had in mind. Poor man!

Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 05:36PM What did one oyster say to the other when they saw me walk into the bar? You'll have to read to the bottom for the punch line.
I love catfish, shrimp, mahi mahi and will try almost any kind fish you can find. I'm not a big beef eater but not for any reason other than I just don't care for it. When I was pregnant, docs begged me to eat the stuff, but no. But, back to oysters. The thing you need to know about Gulf oysters or any other oyster for that matter is that some oysters are safe and some, well, not so safe. The things to remember about oysters is that they provide a low calorie protein and are an excellent source of zinc, vitamin B12 and omega-3 fatty acids. But, you also need to remember that oysters in bulk might not e such a great idea. One thing is because raw oysters or even simply undercooked oysters may cause serious illness such as virio vulnificus bacteria and if you have liver disease or diabetes, this significantly lowers your immune system's ability to fight.
You can definitely find raw oysters in all kinds of forms, raw, steamed, fried, charbroiled and grilled. But, just know when you eat that you can't go in and eat yourself silly. Now, on with my joke above.
What did one oyster say to another when they saw me walk into the bar? We're safe, she don't eat oysters at all! Never!

Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 08:44PM I've written about a various array of topics here on the ol' blog (that's what I call it when I talk to my friends about it). But, as I got my business going, I started looking for a place to have business cards printed. I figured I should definitely give Vista Print a try. Sure enough, I got the coolest business cards with matching post-it notes. Then, I continued to check out many other places but I kept coming back to Vista Print. So, when Christmas rolled around and I needed a small gift for the parents of my students, I didn't hesitate, I went straight for Vista Print. Why not? They had served me well in recent months so I figured that it was the way to go. This time, I logged in and was able to recall my last order. I used that to make a new order so that all of my promotional goodies would match. I had business cards, post it notes, address labels, the works and they all had a definite theme.
Now I'm contemplating a mail-out of some kind and I was thinking about doing something along the lines of postcards. And, where else would I go for the best postcard printing available? Vista Print! Where else would anyone go? Now, I can honestly say that this is one product that I am very knowledgeable in because I have used it and I returned to it again and again. So, there, if I can honestly say to you anything about a product, I can tell you that Vista Print is all of that and a bag of chips!
